Download guidanceChoose and use Downloads with confidence
All available files are in the cards above. The guidance below explains how to choose and use them safely; it does not contain additional installers. If a CompuShooter technician supplied a file name, select that exact card. If you are unsure, submit a trouble ticket before installing anything.
Choose the installer that matches your device
Windows users will usually use the EXE installer. Choose MSI only when a technician or administrator requests managed deployment. Mac users should select PKG. For Linux, select DEB for Debian-based systems or RPM for Red Hat-based systems. Use the shell script only with technician-provided instructions.
TeamViewer QuickSupport is a separate remote-assistance option. Cisco AnyConnect provides authorized secure-network access. Choose the Windows or Mac version that matches your device.
Prepare before starting the download
Confirm the device’s operating system, save your open work, and use a stable internet connection. Check that the downloaded file name matches the selected card. Some installations require administrator approval. If your browser or security software shows an unexpected warning, pause and contact CompuShooter instead of bypassing protection.
What to expect after the file is downloaded
The file normally appears in your browser’s download list or your computer’s Downloads folder. Saving it does not automatically begin a support session. You may need to open the installer, approve an operating-system prompt, or share a session code. Follow the directions connected with your active support request.
Use remote-support tools safely
Use these tools only for support you requested or expected. Confirm that you are communicating with CompuShooter through a known phone number, ticket, or business contact. Never provide passwords to an unexpected caller. Close unnecessary documents containing private information and ask questions whenever a prompt is unclear.
Common questions about support Downloads
Which file should I choose if I am not sure?
Do not try several versions. Check your operating system and use the installer identified by your technician. If you remain unsure, submit a trouble ticket with your device type and operating-system version.
Why did the file download but not open?
Your browser may have saved it without launching it. Check the browser’s download list or the Downloads folder. If it will not start, send the displayed error message to the technician instead of downloading repeated copies.
Do I need administrator permission?
Some installers require administrator approval, and business computers may be governed by company security policies. Contact the person who manages the device if you do not have the requested credentials.
