This is a sad day for Spotify free users. Music lovers are in trouble since they have been reporting that the free premium streaming service is pushing malware infested ads to its users.
Spotify free periodically causes browsers to open various malicious sites.
Browsers of computers act abnormally. While you are streaming music, browser ads infested with malware show up.
If you are experiencing this, you are not the only one. Angry users alerted people on Twitter.
Although the original report suggested that the vulnerability occurred on a Windows 10 setup, this issue is not just happening on Windows platform but it also is happening on Ubuntu and MacOS.
As of the moment, Spotify has been working on a fix.
This is not the only instance that they have had issues. Way back 2011, they have issued a public apology when they had issues with malicious ads also. They have fixed that issue quickly.
As of now, there are no further updates regarding when it will be fixed.
