However, this is a thing of the past. Thanks to customization app from Stardock aptly dubbed as Decor8, users are now able to choose any photo of their choice to serve as their start screen background. And that’s regardless of color range or size.
The said program is also uncomplicated to use. The moment you launch Decor8, you will see a given set of background images which comprise of the start screen and desktop background images that come with Windows 8 as well as a set of wallpapers that come from Stardock app.
Basically, it works by providing you the regular fit, fill, center and tile options that you get from the classic desktop. Decor8 then a scheme of colors to match each of your background images or you also have the alternative to customize the color scheme manually.
If you wish, you may add folders and make use of your personal pictures to serve as background. If you hold down the Ctrl key, you can select a number of background images.
